1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to Renuw, a product published under the SquirrelSolve brand. They are for Renuw specifically and do not automatically apply to every other SquirrelSolve product.
2. What Renuw is
Renuw is a tracking tool for renewals and ongoing plans, such as insurance, utilities, subscriptions, broadband, mobile contracts, gym memberships, mortgage or rate products, and similar commitments.
Renuw is designed to help you organise information you choose to enter. It is not a broker, insurer, lender, adviser, comparison service, or payment provider.
3. Account use
You may need an account to use some parts of Renuw. You are responsible for:
Keeping your sign-in details secure
Using a valid email address
Making sure the information on your account is accurate
Telling us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account without permission
4. Your plan data
You are responsible for the information you add to Renuw, including plan names, providers, costs, dates, reminder choices, and renewal status.
Check the accuracy of anything you enter
Keep your information up to date
Review your actual contract, policy, lender, supplier, or provider documents if you need to confirm terms
5. Tracking and reminder preferences are not guarantees
Renuw can help you keep track of dates and reminder preferences, but that depends on the information you enter and on the app and device working as expected.
You should not rely solely on Renuw to avoid missed payments, renewals, rate changes, cancellations, or notice periods. You remain responsible for checking your real deadlines and taking action directly with your provider, insurer, lender, supplier, or other service provider.
6. No financial, legal, insurance, mortgage, or regulated advice
Renuw does not provide financial advice, legal advice, insurance advice, mortgage advice, or any regulated recommendation. Any information shown in the app is for organisation and tracking only. You should use your own judgment and, where needed, seek professional advice.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
Use Renuw for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity
Interfere with the app, its infrastructure, or other users
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data
Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service except where the law clearly allows it
Upload or send content that infringes someone else's rights or contains malicious code
Use Renuw in a way that could damage the service or its reputation
8. Third-party services
Renuw relies on third-party services, including Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Firestore for data storage and syncing, Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, and a logo service such as Brandfetch where trusted provider logos are shown. Those services have their own terms and privacy information, and parts of Renuw may be affected by their availability or policies.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Renuw available and working well, but we do not promise that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device. We may change, improve, suspend, or remove features from time to time, including for security, maintenance, legal, or product reasons.
10. Intellectual property
Renuw, its branding, and the app content created for the service belong to SquirrelSolve or the relevant licensors. You are given a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use Renuw in line with these terms. Third-party names, logos, and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners.
11. Suspension, closure, and deletion
We may suspend or end access to Renuw if you break these terms, if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for the service or other users, or if we need to do so for legal, security, or operational reasons.
You may stop using Renuw at any time. If you want your account or data deleted, use the in-app route Settings -> Account -> Delete account, visit the delete-account page, or contact us at support@renuw.co.uk.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms is meant to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Renuw is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that dates, plan details, or tracking information will always be complete or accurate
We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate user-entered data
We are not responsible for missed payments, missed renewals, missed cancellations, or pricing changes caused by relying only on Renuw
We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party services, app stores, internet providers, or device settings outside our control
13. Future recommendation or affiliate features
Renuw does not currently describe sponsored offers, affiliate links, or commission-based recommendations as live public features. If that changes later, the product and the relevant policy pages should be updated to reflect it clearly.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may give notice in the app, on the website, or by another suitable method. The updated terms will take effect from the published last-updated date unless we say otherwise.
15. Governing law and disputes
Renuw is intended primarily for UK users. Final governing-law and court wording may be refined during legal review before wider public launch or app-store submission.
