1. How to delete your account
If you want to delete your Renuw account and saved app data, you can use the in-app self-serve route:
Open Renuw
Go to Settings
Open Account
Choose Delete account
If you cannot access the app, you can still contact us at support@renuw.co.uk.
Please include enough information for us to identify your account safely, such as:
The email address used for your Renuw account
Whether you want to delete your whole account or only certain app data
A short description if there is anything unusual about the request
Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, bank details, or full policy documents.
2. In-app route
Settings -> Account -> Delete account
Renuw only tracks your plans. Deleting your account does not cancel, renew, or change any services with your providers.
3. What we expect to delete
When a valid deletion request is completed, we aim to remove or anonymise, where appropriate:
Your Renuw account sign-in record
Renewal and plan records linked to your account
Stored settings and preferences linked to your account
Smart reminder interaction signals linked to your account
Support-side records that no longer need to be kept
4. What may be kept for longer
Some limited information may be retained for a short period where needed for:
Security and fraud prevention
Backup recovery
Legal or regulatory obligations
Keeping a record that a deletion request was completed
5. How long deletion may take
We aim to respond to deletion requests as soon as reasonably practical. Timing can depend on account verification, support queue volume, and any backup or operational steps needed to complete the request properly.
